Sriwijaya FC Without Alberto “Beto” Goncalves when Jamu Arema FC
Sriwijaya FC will host Arema FC in advanced Liga 1 at Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium, Friday (20/10/2017). Laskar Wong Kito is not reinforced striker Alberto Beto Goncalves who must undergo a yellow card accumulation penalty.
This is of course very disadvantageous for Sriwijaya FC because Beto contributed greatly to the team. Finally, the Brazilian scored twice when Sriwijaya FC won 3-2 over hosts Perseru Serui on Saturday (14/10), at Marora Stadium, Serui.
“Beto can be three times a yellow card meaning that he has to miss one game,” said Sriwijaya FC secretary Ahmad Haris on Monday (16/10).
The third yellow card for former Persipura Jayapura player was obtained when scored the first goal in Serui. He was rewarded for taking off his shoes while celebrating.
Related to that celebration, Beto has its own reasons. Apparently it happened because of “accident”.
“Actually my shoes are turned on by other players, so I’m open after the goal print because I want to use again,” he said.
Additional two goals against Perseru put Beto as the top scorer in Sriwijaya FC. The 17-goal incision also puts former Arema FC striker third in the list of top scorer League 1, away from Bali United striker Sylvanus Comvalius, who has 30 goals.
“I still will provide support from the edge of the field.I think the coach would have had a special strategy against Arema,” said Beto about the duel against Arema.
